The 2022 EurILCA Senior European Championships & Open European Trophy finished yesterday. Nicholas Bezy in the HK ILCA 7 National Sailing Team finished 47th in the Gold fleet. Nancy Highfield and Stephanie Norton from the HK ILCA 6 National Sailing Team finished 4th and 8th respectively in the Silver fleet.
Laser sailing team Coach Christos said every one in the team did well.“Really nice performance by all of them and great progress towards the next season. Proud of this team.
The European circuit is over for this season. The only thing left for this team is the Ilca Asians Early December. After that will be the off season.”
He also said it was an extremely difficult championship. “ With the French Nationals and training prior to the Europeans we had pretty much all sorts of conditions.
The fleet is extremely competitive as it’s the last big championship before next year which is the qualification for the Olympics.”
