HONG KONG RACE WEEK 2025 – The Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China in conjunction with co-organiser the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and the International 29er Association, are pleased to announce the 9th edition of Hong Kong’s premier international regatta for dinghies and invited classes to take place from Tuesday 11 February to Sunday 16 February 2025. Returning to Hong Kong’s renowned world class racetracks, the 2025 event will incorporate the 3rd annual 2025 29er Asian Championship. Invited classes of 29er, 2.4mR, ILCA 4, 6 & 7, Optimist, RS Tera, RS Feva, along with development classes of Optimist and Fusion Green Fleets will be hosted in 2025. As a significant event on the Asian youth dinghy scene, the event continues to be a major foundation regatta for promising Asian sailors to hone their skills. Aberdeen Boat Club is thrilled to announce its upcoming SouthsideRegatta 2024, set to take place on 30th November and 1st December 2024 at Middle Island. This event invites sailors of all skill levels to participate in 2 exciting days which are filled with competitive racing and a chance to enjoy the dinghy community spirit. The Regatta attracts over 100 boats and over 200 participants each year. Sailors enhance their skills for competitions. The event also provides environment to develop young sailors to become Hong Kong Sailing Athletes. Races will be held in the stunning southside of Hong Kong. The Belt & Road International Regatta (Beihai) 2024 will be held in Beihai, China on 8-12 October. The Regatta is now open for registration, and the deadline is 17:00 on 10 September. The “Belt and Road” International Regatta is the first national-level “Belt and Road” regatta to be held along the Maritime Silk Road. Since 2019, it has been successfully held in Phuket, Thailand; Beihai, China; Singapore; and Langkawi, Malaysia. Since its inception, the “Belt and Road” International Regatta has been held for five consecutive years and has become one of the bridges connecting the people of China and the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”. Hebe Haven Yacht Club (the Organising Authority), with the support of the Guangdong Sailing Federation, Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China, and Associação de Vela de Macau, is pleased to present the annual Port Shelter Regatta. HKSF is pleased to announce 2025 HKSF Easter Training Camp level 1 and 2 five-day Dinghy course which is suitable for anyone between the ages of 12 to 16 to enroll. The course will strictly follow the HKSF Syllabus for Dinghy and Keelboat Sail Training Scheme, to give direct access towards becoming a qualified sailor. Students will spend 5 days at the HKSF Little Palm Beach Sailing Centre. With its beautiful and peaceful environment, the well-equipped facilities have long been renowned as a perfect breeding ground for sailors, suitable for those who are totally new to sailing. The World Maritime Merchants Forum YMC Alma Mater Race will be held on 17 December. YMC Alma Mater Race will be a racing event for fun, in the same way as Nations’ Cup. Cruisers and racers are all welcome. Teams are formed based on their affiliated schools – be it a local university, international school or secondary school.  As long as at least half the team has some association with a particular school, a team can be formed under that name!
