The President of the Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China wishes that sailing in Hong Kong can be part of the 15th National Games in 2025.

The Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China held its Inaugural Annual Awards Presentation Gala Dinner on 20th December and presented 11 awards and one Employee 10 Years Service Certificate.
The event was attended by a number of VIP guests as award presenters, including HKSF Honorary President, and Vice-President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China Dr. Karl Kwok, the Councillor for the Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication Functional Constituency of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR, and Vice President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China Hon Kenneth Fok, the Vice-President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China Mr. Ronnie Wong, the Leisure Manager of Sports Development from the Leisure and Culture Services Department Mr. Cheng Yiu Fai, the Assistant Leisure Manager of Sports Development of the Leisure and Culture Services Department Ms Eunice Chow, the HKSI High Performance Administration Manager Mr. Samual Chan, the President of the Guangdong Sailing Federation Mr. Lin Xiong, the Secretary General of the Shenzhen Yachting Association Mr Huang Yi Xiao, Vice President Windsurfing Association of China, Hong Kong Mr Choy Ka Wing etc.

Ms.Meihan Cheung, President of the Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China, said in an opening speech that it has been a very fruitful year for HKSF. After three years of the pandemic, we can finally resume the International Sailing Event “Hong Kong Race Week”. In addition, the Hong Kong National Sailing Team has done well in international events.The Hong Kong National Sailing Team made history with the best ever results of silver and bronze medals at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Also, ILCA 7 sailor Nicholas Halliday qualified for the Olympics by finishing 1st in the Olympic qualifications yesterday (19th Dec). She also specifically mentioned that cooperation with the Greater Bay Area Sailing Organizations has been strengthened this year. Sailing cooperation in the Greater Bay Area is the main task of HKSF in the coming year. She also wishes that sailing in Hong Kong can be part of the 15th National Games in 2025.
Nicholas, who had just returned to Hong Kong from Thailand, also attended the event and went on stage to receive flowers from our president, Ms. Meihan Cheung. He said that completing this qualifying competition and qualifying for the Olympics was a relief.
