After a 12 year absence, World Sailing is applying for the Para Sailing sport to be included in the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles which was unveiled by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The decision on which sports will be included in the 2028 Paralympic Games will be made by the end of January 2023.
Sailing was an official part of the Paralympic Games between 2000 to 2016, after being a demonstration sport in 1996.
