The event was held from 27th February to 6th March in Abu Dhabi. With 18 Countries and 140 entries participating, this week long event witnessed some high voltage action on the water. The Championships were held at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club. The organizing authority is the UAE Sailing & Rowing Federation in association with the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, under the sanction of the Asian Sailing Federation. The classes sailed were the RSX, Formula Kite, ILCA 7, ILCA 6, ILCA 4, 49ER and IQ Foil.
