The Hong Kong Sailing Federation Feeder Scheme is a subsidised grass-roots learn-to sail programme for those aged between 8 to 12 yrs, it runs annually and provides 4 different levels of courses. On completion of the two-day junior sailor 2 course, successful sailors will be able to sail a dinghy singlehanded in light winds on all points of sail.
Young participants are expected to learn about basic skills of competitive sailing at the minimum, building a solid foundation for continuous development. Students can apply for courses of further levels after passing the assessment, to advance their skills.
